"The Museum has engaged Joe to film and edit AV material for two of our major exhibitions: Gifts and Legacies and Bugs: the Mega World of Minibeasts. These AVs were played in the exhibition space to provide another layer of interpretation for visitors to interact with through live-action video and interviews. Joe has also created exhibition record videos for four displays at the Museum, two of which were used in awards applications, and we are currently working with him on AV projects for our upcoming summer exhibition.

Joe is a very talented filmmaker. He is adept at turning a brief into a shooting schedule and, from there, filming all the necessary material and editing it into a coherent, effective and visually-attractive story. He works exceedingly well with a wide range of contributors – both internally at the Museum and throughout the community – to get the best from each interview and shoot, often in very different conditions. He has a real eye for what makes an effective shot and is skilled at capturing that vision on camera. Joe has gone above and beyond during each shoot, thinking outside the box to get additional audio and video footage that elevates the final product beyond what was initially conceived.

We are grateful for Joe’s hard work and help in creating AVs that have been popular with our visitors, on-site and online. We are delighted to be able to utilise his wealth of talent to provide more depth to the experiences of our exhibition visitors."
